Shop Safety Manager

Raulli & Sons is looking for a Shop Safety Manager to join our team. The position of EHS Manager performs a variety of functions to assist in maintaining and preserving the health and safety of employees, as well as the environment. This individual will be responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of existing systems related to plant safety, environmental control processes, regulatory compliance and training for our Teall, Canal and Burnet locations.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Investigate, root cause and lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques, such as the 5Y, Fishbone, Pareto analysis etc.
  • Works with Human Resources to administer workers compensation claims/investigations.
  • Ensures compliance with Hazardous/Universal Waste regulations.
  • Implement improvements to safety processes and training systems.
  • Drive safety culture towards personal accountability and continuous improvement
  • Lead, organize and properly document required safety training including hazard communications, new employee safety orientation, lead awareness, hearing conservation, radiation safety, laser safety, hazardous waste, fire extinguisher, CRP and first aid, and bloodborne pathogens.
  • Schedules annual testing requirements including audiograms and blood lead testing.
  • Performs annual industrial hygiene monitoring.
  • Construct policies/procedures eliminating unsafe practices.
  • Implementation and enforcement of existing company safety policies.
  • Completes fire extinguisher and eyewash inspections.
  • Leads Safety Committee meetings.
  • Ensures compliance with Hazard communications by updating SDS.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in EH&S and/or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5-7+ years’ experience in the Environmental Health and Safety field, preferably OSHA General Industry Experience.
  • FMSCA/DOT Driver Qualification experience
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Crane Mechanic

Main Function of the Position:

  • Ensure cranes are fully compliant with DOT and OSHA regulations
  • Inspect cranes
  • Perform necessary repairs to crane after diagnosing defects
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, suspensions, electrical, and LMI systems
  • Read, interpret, and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Maintain safety requirements and other regulations
  • Ability to accomplish tasks without direct supervision

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Travel to various job sites to troubleshoot and repair cranes
  • Assist with assembly and disassembly

CNC Machine Operator/Detail Specialist

Raulli & Sons, a well-established family owned and operated business, is seeking a CNC Machine Operator/Detail Specialist to become an integral part of our team. The Operator will use various equipment and tools to cut, lay out and prepare steel.

The CNC Machine Operator/Detail Specialist should have at least 1+ year of experience with CNC Machining and operation of various tools. The ideal candidate will have strong math skills and above average mechanical aptitude. Deadlines and a high standard of quality control must be met for every project.

Responsibilities:

  • Layout and prepare steel for shop fabricators
  • Cut material (steel shapes, angles, plates) while working off a list with measurements
  • Operate equipment:
  • Non-CNC (saws, hydraulic shears, brakes, torches)
  • CNC (punches, etc.)
  • Use a hand cart to lift, move and transport steel parts
  • Process material for fabricators
  • Other duties may be assigned as required, such as unloading trucks and other miscellaneous tasks

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in CNC machining, using various hand tools and measuring
  • Familiarity with various tools and procedures
  • Familiarity with blueprints, fabrication drawings and schematics

Iron Worker

Raulli & Sons, a well-established family-owned and operated Structural Steel business, is seeking an Iron Worker to become an integral part of our team. The Ironworker will lay out, position, align and fit together fabricated parts of structural metal products preparatory to welding or riveting.

The Iron Worker should have at least 3+ years of experience within the structural steel erection industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan sequence of operation
  • Set up face blocks, jigs and fixtures
  • Locate and mark centerlines and reference points onto floor or face block and transpose them to workpiece
  • Move/align parts into position
  • Remove high spots and cut bevels
  • Give direction to Arc Welder to build up low spots or short pieces with weld
  • Straighten warped or bent parts
  • Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes or bolt straps or bolts parts in positions for welding or riveting
  • Use transit to locate reference points and erect ladders and scaffolding to fit together large assemblies

Qualifications:

  • Lay out, position and secure parts & assemblies using clamps or jigs, etc.
  • Remove rough spots, slag, etc., from work piece, using grinders, wire brush, hand file, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Early morning (3:30am) snowplow and snow removal for all parking lots and sidewalks and additional snow removal throughout the day.
  • Manage time and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Deliver material to local job sites via a company pickup truck.
  • Building maintenance which includes sweeping floors, cleaning light fixtures, emptying trash cans, emptying steel scrap bins, changing furnace filter, cleaning paint overspray from the floor.
  • Clean, maintain and organize the outdoor yard area.
  • Pressure washing and general painting.
  • Cut steel decking and other material to length as ordered.
  • Cleaning and preventive maintenance of all shop equipment, which includes, identifying defects, damage or equipment malfunctions. Report all deficiencies to the supervisor.
  • Perform monthly inspections for all fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, eye wash stations, AED and pedestal grinders.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Assist with a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
